Second-floor walls up
The east wall of the master suite went up this week. Window cuts framed for the jungle view.
Salvaje sits across the estuary from the town of Lo de Marcos, where the road softens into shaded jungle paths and the air slows down. It is, first, a home — three en-suite bedrooms, two flex rooms, a kitchen designed for long lunches.
It is also, very intentionally, a retreat. The rooftop opens to a sauna, a gym that becomes a yoga studio, an outdoor shower, and a sliver of ocean view through the palms. The pool is private. The beach is an eight-minute walk through the jungle.
Built for hosting — cooking classes, birthday weekends, week-long retreats, or a single quiet morning. Neighbors are welcome to walk over for a class. That's the point.
A 14-metre lap pool tucked against a hand-laid stone wall — salt-finish, planted with yuccas and dragon trees.
A dedicated cold plunge on the wellness floor — for the morning ritual or the post-sauna contrast.
Wood-clad sauna fitted with red-light therapy panels. Pair it with the plunge and the outdoor rinse just steps away.
A real gym, not a token corner — free weights, cardio, mat space, all on the rooftop with the doors open.
An indoor-outdoor floor that opens for sun salutations and closes down for strength work or quiet practice.
A shaded jungle path leads to a secluded stretch of beach on the far side of the estuary.
Polished concrete, sliding glass that disappears into the wall, palm-fiber pendants. The kitchen, dining and living flow as one space.
Integrated speakers across living, rooftop, pool deck and suites. Lighting, climate and locks on smart-home control.
Engineered above local construction standards — concrete frame, U.S.-spec electrical, hurricane-rated. Enclosed parking, security cameras, quiet street.
The pool runs along a hand-laid stone wall planted with yuccas and dragon trees. Loungers in the shade. A long table for slow lunches just steps away. The jungle does the rest.
Polished concrete floors flow from the living area to the dining table to the open kitchen — sage tile backsplash, palm-fiber pendant, deep linen sectional, sliding glass that disappears into the wall.
Each suite frames a view of the palms. Linen bedding, terracotta and oat tones, woven rugs, soft macramé. Sliding doors open onto a private balcony with the morning sun.
The whole top of the house is given over to wellness — sauna with red-light therapy, cold plunge, full gym, yoga floor, full bathroom, palapa-shaded lounging. Step out and find a sliver of Pacific between the palms.
King bed, private balcony, full en-suite bathroom, jungle & palm views.

Salvaje is in Lo de Marcos, Nayarit — a quiet pocket of the Riviera Nayarit, about an hour north of Puerto Vallarta. We're on the jungle side of town, across the estuary, where the road turns sandy and the bird sound takes over.
Close enough to walk into the village for coffee, far enough that you forget you could.
